Levelling an Uneven Concrete Floor
On a recent renovation project in Colchester, our customer needed to level an uneven concrete slab across 120 m² before installing floor finishes. Carrying out this work using traditional, bagged cement-based levelling compounds would have been labour intensive, time-consuming, and costly.
Instead, the client chose Screedflo Thin Screed (TS20) a cost-effective and sustainable liquid screed solution designed for low-depth applications.
Fast, Efficient Floor Levelling with Thin Screed
A 500-gauge polythene membrane was installed over the existing substrate before Screedflo TS20 Thin Screed was laid at a depth of 20–30 mm. The flowing screed quickly levelled the uneven slab, providing a smooth, flat surface ready for the next stage of the renovation.
The entire installation was completed in under two hours, significantly reducing labour time, disruption, and overall project cost compared to traditional levelling methods.
