Underfloor Heating Liquid Screed Installation near Stansted

The Project Brief

Screedflo recently supplied and installed our Underfloor Heating Thermal Liquid Screed for a new two-house residential development near Stansted, Essex. The homes use ground source heat pumps feeding underfloor heating systems, requiring a high-performance screed to maximise thermal efficiency and reduce running costs.

Improving Performance Over Traditional Screed

Originally specified with a 75 mm sand and cement screed, this Stansted, Essex development was upgraded by increasing insulation by 25 mm and installing a 50 mm Screedflo Thermal liquid screed to improve energy efficiency.

With a thermal conductivity of 2.5 W/mK, compared to around 0.41 W/mK for traditional screeds, Screedflo Underfloor Heating Thermal screed transfers heat up to five times more efficiently, making it ideal for underfloor heating systems and ground source heat pumps in modern homes across Essex and the surrounding areas.
