Screedflo Launch New High Strength Screed
17 February 2011
Screedflo have launched their new high strength anhydrite screed, Screedflo Extra. Rated as C35 F7 it is nearly twice as strong as a standard anhydrite screed.
It is ideal for use in commercial areas such as car showrooms or warehouses where there is a requirement to take higher loads without substantially increasing the depth of the floor.
Additionally, the higher flexural strength capability allows it to be used in areas where movement of the floor may be expected, such as on timber floors. The screed has been certified for use on floors designed to deflect by anything up to 14mm.
Mark Baillie of Screedflo said, "We originally developed this screed for use in timber frame buildings, but we have increasingly been asked to supply it on projects where standard screeds wouldn’t take the loads. Consequently, we are now offering it as a standard product. Although twice the strength of a standard screed, it is only marginally more expensive, so we can see a large demand for it."
